In September 2024 we ran our first Free Community Dinner, with a goal of meeting the food security needs of Grovenor and surrounding communities. It is wonderful to reflect on how this has grown and changed over the last 18 months, and which needs the dinner is meeting now. In addition to helping with food security for Edmontonians in general, this ministry has bloomed into one of volunteerism, fellowship, and belonging. With approximately 60 guests each month, and 15 volunteers, we are enjoying the emergence of a community that is supportive, caring, and encouraging. We have been able to welcome volunteers from all over the city! The dinner has also helped St Paul’s connect with a number of other socially minded groups, such as our Edmonton Public Library. Be sure to join us at the next dinner!
Please join us for a Simple Breakfast starting at 8:30am on Sunday, April 13 (Palm Sunday). We are looking forward to beginning the day with you!
Arranging ride shares: Would you benefit from a ride to church? Or perhaps you have room in your vehicle to drive another parishioner to church? If you would like to find someone to drive to church with, please add your name to the sign up sheet in the side entrance of the church, or email Michelle S. to let her know. michelle@stpauls-anglican.ca.
