"Recovery is a dynamic and self-directed journey towards a meaningful life; it emphasizes the development of assets rather than symptom reduction” (from the Sanctuary Course, Session 4). There are many aspects of Mental Health to explore, and the frameworks we can create for recovery are great tools to have. Recovery includes aspects such as Connection, Hope/Optimism, Identity, Meaning and Engagement (CHIME), and is developed on an ongoing basis. These frameworks help move us towards flourishing, and are worth learning about no matter where you are at in your own mental health journey. For more information about one model, you can look at the Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) website at What Is WRAP? - Wellness Recovery Action Plan or explore some wellness toolkits such as THIS ONE from Grand Valley State University.
