The Anglican Diocese of Edmonton’s Annual Christmas Fundraiser is underway! We participate in No Room in the Inn, an interdenominational campaign to raise financial support to a housing provided that works to meet the needs of the homeless or those at risk in the Edmonton Metro Region. This year the No Room In the Inn Campaign is supporting Youth Empowerment & Support Services (YESS). A new roof is needed for the YESS Youth Support Centre (YSC), where they provide a centralised place for youth in crisis to get immediate support, stabilisation and assessment. December offers many opportunities for generosity and sharing with those under financial strain and other limitations in our city. HOPE Mission (https://hopemission.com), The Mustard Seed (https://theseed.ca), the Food Bank (https://www.edmontonsfoodbank.com) and other agencies all work hard to look after the needs of many at this time and throughout the year. No gift is too small and all donations are put to good use. In addition to financial donations, letters to government official about the challenges marginalized people and agencies are facing are just as important. Please find out about and pursue political advocacy on these issues.
