Grovenor Elementary School Hampers – Thank you to everyone at St Paul’s who came together to provide Christmas Hampers to seven families at Grovenor Elementary School. Our Turkey Team did a wonderful job of getting all the groceries to the church. The school secretary was able to deliver all seven hampers on Thursday, Dec 19, and the families were very happy to receive them. Thank you!

The Valley Zoo Development Society is excited to host their 12th year of Zoominescence: A Festival of Light presented by The King’s University this December at the Edmonton Valley Zoo! Nestled within Edmonton’s beautiful River Valley, the Valley Zoo will be home to a spectacular exhibition of artistic light installations for guests of all ages to admire and enjoy. Charity Awareness – As many of you know, the postal strike made it difficult for charities to raise funds they typically get during the Christmas season and end-of-year. Please support your charities with online donations, especially etransfer where available (this avoids credit card fees coming out of your donation).

One such charity the Bishop’s office highlighted this week is the Inner City Pastoral Ministry (ICPM). They are an interdenominational ministry in Boyle Street & McCauley neighbourhoods, started in 1978. Rising costs & diminishing grant support have put ICPM into a deficit position. There is a very real need for financial contributions to the immediate sustainability and ongoing work of ICPM. For more info about their ministry, visit www.icpmedmonton.ca.
