One festival you do not want to miss is the Edmonton Heritage Festival, the largest 3-day celebration of multiculturalism, running August 3-5, 2024! This year, it is being hosted at the Edmonton Exhibition Lands and Borden Parks. You can purchase food directly at the pavilions with Debit or Credit – no need to purchase tickets. With over 150 countries represented in food, music, dance and costume, there is something for everyone to enjoy. For more information, please visit www.heritagefest.ca. Don’t miss their Tips page, with great ideas for making the most of your time at the festival.

There are many fun festivals and events to enjoy in Edmonton, but do you have a favorite place for summer treats? There are many locally owned ice cream shops in the city offering a dazzling variety of sweet treats. Try out Made by Marcus in the Brewery District, Yelo’d on Whyte Ave or Kind Ice Cream in Highlands. Interested in other sweets? Try THIS LIST from Explore Edmonton for more options.

One of our parishioners, Laurance Hill, is a Lookout Observer near Grande Prairie for Alberta Wildfire for 6 more weeks. There are many touristy locations in and around Grande Prairie, and he’d love to have visitors. In order to go up the tower, you’ll need to arrange the visit with him in advance, as he’ll need to coordinate getting you to be certified to climb up. You can email Laurance at clhill@lakeheadu.ca or text him at 587-930-8082.
