Happy Father’s Day! We want to acknowledge all the fathers in our parish and circle who contribute so greatly to their children (and grandchildren!). The ways in which you care for your children are valuable and important! For a reflection on the importance of fathers in the lives of their kids, please read https://ifstudies.org/blog/acknowledging-the-unique-role-of-fathers and https://www.focusonthefamily.com/family-qa/the-significance-of-a-fathers-influence/
National Indigenous Peoples Day is on Monday, June 21, 2021. It is a day set aside to celebrate and reflect on the many contributions and cultures of First Nations, Inuit and Metis people across Canada. For some history on this day, please see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Indigenous_Peoples_Day. For resources listed at the Anglican Diocese of Edmonton, please see https://edmonton.anglican.ca/what-we-do/social-justice--2/pages/resources-indigenous-social-justice-june-2021. Social Justice is often top of mind, but do not miss the chance to see the vibrancy, diversity, and deep gifting of Indigenous Peoples across Canada.
