As we each continue to do our part in working towards reconciliation, there are many resources to help us learn the more inclusive history and broaden our perspectives. One resources that gives a comprehensive yet accessible outline is the book “First Peoples – A Guide for Newcomers”, created by the City of Vancouver. Click HERE to access the full text.
Guess who’s coming to visit? Inspired by the movie “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?” we are organizing a fun event for Sunday, April 30. Are you willing to host a parish member (or two) for a visit in your yard or home? Perhaps you are interested in being a guest? To sign up for an outdoor visit with another member of the congregation on Sunday, April 30 from 2:00-3:00pm, please email Michelle Schurek michelle@stpauls-anglican.ca . To keep the visits cozy, we will be keeping group sizes to 3-8 people. Registration closes Monday, April 24, 2023 at 9pm.
April is National Poetry Month, and this year’s theme is JOY! Much of scripture is written as poetry, and gives voice to the emotional, mental and spiritual experiences of our lives. If you want to do something special for National Poetry Month and need some ideas, check out the League of Canadian Poets, or take some time to search at the library or online to learn more about poetry in April.
