Focus on Missions Highlight

Please pray for the work of International Justice Mission (IJM.ca) in Bolivia, where tens of thousands of sexual assaults against women and children occur every year and very few of the perpetrators are convicted. IJM works with the Bolivian National Police to rescue victims who are at risk of further abuse, to locate and arrest suspects and to ensure that perpetrators are convicted. IJM also works with Bolivian social services to bring victims to safe places and to provide trauma-focused therapy. Pray specifically for IJM's efforts to expand trauma-informed training for local lawyers across the country. This training will make it more likely that victims of sexual violence are cared for and supported during the often-traumatic court process.
