The “Take 5” approach to general mental wellness outlines 5 areas to focus on: Connect, Keep Learning, Be Active, Take Notice, and Give. The fifth area of these 5, “Give”, emphasizes the value of sharing what we have with others. God has given us many directions in this area, and it is for our own well-being AS WELL AS those we share with. Giving, along with gratitude, plays an important role in mental wellness. It helps us build connections with others, and lets us see the benefits we have in our own lives. Sharing with and giving to others is a critical part of personal mental health!
