As the school year starts up once again, looking after basic details like diet, sleep, stress reduction and more can slip. New routines are being worked out, and the disruptions are sometimes difficult to adjust to. In the article “Learning About Self-Care from the Old Testament”, the author looks at the story of Elijah in 1 Kings 19, and reminds us that rest, nutrition, hydration and quiet are necessary for our wellbeing.
