Learning from the Indigenous Peoples on Turtle Island, who have entered into Treaties with the Canadian Government, is an important step in our personal pursuits of Truth and Reconciliation. There is much to be learned by everyone. As settler-descendants and immigrants, we can help realize the purposes of the TRC and the 94 Calls to Action by continuing to improve our knowledge of Residential Schools, the Indian Act, treaties, land acknowledgements, to name a few topics.
