Community Corner for Sunday, May 29, 2022- Thursday, May 26, 2022 Year End Picnic at St Paul’s Please join us for our Year End Picnic after church on Sunday June 26, 2022. Come out for some time together as we launch into summer. There will be adventures, games and prizes! We look forward to seeing you all. Location TBD – either at St Paul’s (if the kitchen is ready) or down at Wilfred Laurier Park (by the Valley Zoo). Table Top Adventures – June 3 6:30-8:30 pm – Join us this Friday at St Paul’s for fellowship and fun! We are all set up with a fantastic library of board games and puzzles for you to come enjoy. Bring a snack and beverage to share, and any other table top activity you might want to do - card making, model building, even homework is an option. Come out for a fun evening of creativity, laughter and play. Downtown Spark is here! Running from May 26 to June 5, 2022, this year’s festival is even bigger and better with plenty of things to see, from art installations to daily musical performances, food trucks and street parties. The second annual arts festival will feature inflatable art sculptures from the UK-based Designs in Air and a new installation from Edmonton-based Vignettes. Rice Howard Way and Alex Decouteau Park will be home to this year’s art installations. Festival-goers are encouraged to walk from one site to another and enjoy performers and food trucks at Alex Decouteau Park. Running over two weekends, Downtown Spark will feature free family-friendly (and even pet-friendly) events each Saturday. For more information, visit Downtown Spark.

Bishop Visiting and Confirmation - This Sunday!We are excited to have Bishop Steve coming for a visit to the Parish of St. Paul this Sunday, May 29, 2022! This will be a Service of Confirmation and Baptism.

LTD FundraisingThis summer, Macreena Schurek is in her second year of the Leadership Training and Discipleship (LTD) program at Gull Lake Centre. It is a three-year, experiential learning program for High School students. Students are taught about leadership with emphases on personal development, social justice, evangelism, communication, and teamwork through experiences in spiritual formation, cabin leading, inner-city service, hiking, and more. Macreena is seeking financial support for this, with a goal of raising $1700 by the end of the summer. Spring CleanDuring the week of May 29 – June 3, the Spring Clean is an opportunity to do deal with some of the larger cleaning and organizing projects at St. Paul’s, as well as to do some special cleaning (kid’s toys, windows, etc.). There is a sign-up sheet in the foyer – please sign up and/or email the office if you plan to stop by.
